As you arrive, this opens out onto a sun-dappled terrace overlooking the Nidd. Here you may see a wide variety of birds - dippers, wagtails, or even the blue flash of a kingfisher.

Food is served here at the large, stone slab tables, which are surrounded by old, painted garden furniture - if thoughts of the South of France or Tuscany spring to mind, you will not be alone, as our visitors often mention this. Our terrace was also used as a location for the television series The Darling Buds of May with actor David Jason.

When moving inside, you cannot fail to be impressed by the large Water  Turbine housed 20ft below, viewed through a glass floor panel. We now use this area for wine tasting and sales.
